The RAILS Band Gig Diary - Entry #9-2010 Show Date: February 18, 2010. Venue: The Rails Nightclub
Though, being a Thursday, it was the usual time for our weekly full band show, this week Jill and Chops were unable to make it, so Jeremy and I held down the fort, so to speak. Big thanks to those who came!
One of my favourite pastimes in SL is exploring; taking some time to examine the smallest details of places and things that people have made. This may sound sappy, but sometimes I come upon something, that is so striking in it’s beauty that it brings a mist to my eye.
When I first came upon this building, with it’s lovely stained glass roof and massive carved and textured beams and arches, I had such a feeling and saved the landmark for a future photo shoot. It houses the wares of Nardya Rousselo of NX-Nardcotix.
The most amazing thing about this place is that everything, not only the goods for sale (which include shoes and clothing to die for), but the chairs, the stairs, the flowers, the lamps, the walls … everything I checked had been made by Nardya herself, (except the tree in the first picture, and the gargoyle). Such talent, it’s breathtaking!

Then I received a note card stating that the shop was moving within the week. Would the wonderful building be moved too or would the whole place be redone? I certainly didn’t want to miss my chance to take pictures here, in case it was the latter, so Jeremy and I went over.

See how Jeremy makes friends so easily!
We began outside, as we didn’t want to disturb the shoppers inside, who were partaking in the moving sale. With my handy viewer I cammed around inside first, so we could be strategic and quick in taking the shots. Get in … pose … take the photo … move right along, so as not to bother anyone else. Usually I wait until an odd hour when a location isn’t busy to take pictures, but in this situation, we had no choice.

Then we ventured into the store.

Jeremy decided to sit and people watch while I did some shopping.

The dresses are up here!
You will surely see my purchases in upcoming posts, as I found some great clothes and shoes to wear at future shows.
Most of the furnishings were not for sale, however I was happy to find that this wonderful bowl of fruit was.

So we took it to my place and dug right in!
Thanks for reading this … please continue for the credits.
