Fundraiser Success

A big thanks to everyone who came to the Fundraiser for Japan, held at the Notes Shack Pub yesterday.   The place was really hopping, raising $150 Cdn=US (110 Euro).  Thumbs up to organizer Krakov Letov for this impressive success.

We were happy to have arrived in time to hear the performer preceding us, James Corachea, who was reviewed by writer Gold Cazalet at Live Music In Second Life We were mentioned in the article as “The brilliantly funny Toronto indie rock band The Rails”!

It was a great surprise when GIXER Nighfire passed us a deck of photographs that he took during the show!   Thanks for taking these great live-action shots.

Photos from The Notes Shack!

Hello :D   Here are some snaps taken after our gig at Krakov Letov’s ‘The Note Shack Pub’ on Wednesday.  It was a happy time!

I am cutting a rug with our dear hostess, Bruce Lusch.  This lady goes way beyond the call of duty to help us out with our shows in Second Life and we adore her.  She’s always full of cute cheerful chat too!

(In the background are friends Kashmir Wind, Noodlze Thorsveld and Krakov.)

Jeremy Barracuda likes the posters.

The Rails performing in-world today!

The When and Wheres:  Wednesday, March 2, 2 pm Second Life Time, (=5 pm EST & 22:00 GMT), organized by Krakov Letov Productions, The Notes Shack Pub -> teleport  here

In real-life yesterday, I was describing to a new friend what Second Life was like.  While talking about the wide assortment of things to do, I mentioned something that struck me as being quite amazing when I first joined.  The noobie Lolly noticed a poster in a shop, for a haunted house, which I clicked and teleported over.  I now believe that this experience played a huge part in sucking me right in to Second Life, where my band-mate Jeremy Barracuda, and I have been residents for more than four years.

Lately though, I haven’t taken enough time to get out and explore the remarkable and generous installments created by the Second Life community, so for our gig-poster today I decided to search ‘haunted house’ …

Fun at Mojo Beach

Here are a few photos taken after our show at Mojo Beach on Saturday. It was a really good time, with a great group of people, including a couple of friends I play Farmville with! Thanks for coming out everyone, and thanks for inviting us to play, Love Repine!

Love keeps a well stocked bar.  Noodlz and Krakov are in the photo too.)

Jeremy wears his sunglasses at night.

In real-life, posing in a bathing suit at dusk would be asking for a whole lot of mosquito bites.

Much joy having a Second Life.
