A musician friend plays in Second Life

Jeremy and I were excited to set our alarm clock and get up in the middle of the night on Tuesday,  to catch one of the first shows of an ‘almost’ real life friend in Second Life.  Greg Ellis is a longtime rl friend of our drummer Chops, so while we have not met him yet, I’m sure we will one day soon!

Greg first came to Second Life a few months ago, to check out what exactly his buddy Chops was up to playing with The Rails within this virtual medium.  Readers of this blog will have seem many photos of him in recent posts, as he has been an appreciated visitor to our shows.  Extra appreciated, in fact, because he has also brought a bunch of new friends to the shows too!

And being a musician himself he saw what a wonderful place it is for him to perform himself!  So he set out to do so.

We had never heard him before so were delighted to hear him sing and play guitar.  He sounded excellent and had a great turnout at the venue called The Source.

Way to go, Greg!!  Welcome big time.

Check out one of his shows.  You can find him in-world under the name GregEllisToronto Resident.
