The Rails Show Today @ Thursday 2 pm slt

Today is the day for a Rails show in-world!  You will get 3/4 of the band, plus a machine!  Mr. Oberheim, our ancient drum machine ( check it out ) will fill-in for live drummer, Chops Baxton, as Chopsy can’t make it to SL today.  The show will be held at our home station located -> here

Photo taken outside the shop called ‘Jill’, which is closing down today :(   This was a favourite store, with quality clothing creations made by Jill Lemon. (I’m wearing some pants she made!)  Pictured is a tribute made to Jill by her friend 82bee Zepp.

For me, the sign has a double meaning, as it honours Jill Lemon, to whom everyone is thankful for her generosity and long-term contribution to Second Life.  And it also allows me to give thanks to our bass player and friend, Jill Garnet, for the impressive and appreciated dedication she has shown to The Rails, since joining the band a year ago <3

The Rails show today @ Sunday 1pm slt

Hi :) Today Jeremy and I will be doing a show at Demo’s Wonderland, the home-stage of Demolicious Wonder! Here is the listing she wrote for our set …”Canadian indie rock band, The Rails, brings the fun to Demo’s Wonderland this afternoon.   The Rails play catchy, danceable music fueled with punk rock energy. You won’t want to miss it!”

The show will be located here

Demolicious will be performing before us, so come early to catch her performance at 12:15 slt, where she will be … “Combining the catchy riffs of pop, the drum machine beats of electro and the heavy synth sounds of New Wave, Demolicious Wonder makes danceable tunes with an edge.”

Here’s a sample of her music … Demolicious

And here’s her blog

Sounds like fun, right?

The Rails show today @ Thurs 2 pm slt

Hello :)  All four of us will be in-world today for our weekly show on Thursdays at Two! For those who haven’t heard the band yet, we play our own original rock music with female lead vocals, on electric instruments, including guitar (Jeremy), bass (Jill), keyboards (Lolly) and drums (Chops).  The sound is raw with a twist of punk.  Most often we’ve been compared to the B52.

You can join the fun here

Come to the show and see if Chops caught his hat!

[update:  Chops didn't actually make it to this show ... Perhaps he fell in!]
